Infinite Ice’s On-Ice Skill Development Sessions, are designed to help players improve and reach their full potential. The Infinite Ice program provides the tools, guidance, and support needed to take your game to the next level. We focus on building a strong foundation of skills, including skating, puck handling, shooting, and hockey IQ, that will set you up for
success.
Power-Skating
Skating is one of the most important skills to have as a hockey player. It is essential no matter what age or level you are at, to always be working on your skating. We focus on cultivating a dynamic, mobile, smooth, agile, and efficient skating style that will make you the most effective player in today's game. The updated cutting-edge techniques we teach are a fusion of top North American, Russian, and European styles. We believe along with dynamic speed the ability to be mobile, controlled, and balanced is essential. Along with edge control, stride efficiency, body positioning, lateral movements, turns, transitions, starts, and coordination, players get taught fresh updated comprehensive skating skills.

Shooting
A well-honed shot can turn the tide of any game and propel you towards success in hockey. We break down the mechanics of each shot, focusing on essential elements such as weight transfer, stick position, body position, follow-through, shot placement, quick release, and shooting in stride. We teach the significance of being a versatile shooter, capable of adapting to different game situations. Players learn how to quickly transition between various shooting techniques, enabling them to maximize scoring opportunities. Players receive personalized feedback and guidance to refine their shooting skills, enabling them to unleash powerful and precise shots in game situations.
Stick Handling
Being confident with the puck on your stick is a very valuable skill in hockey. Learning the moves from basic stick handling, forehand, backhand, toe drags, puck protection, quick hands, coordination, puck pushing, puck placement, mobility, wrist strength, directional changes along with the proper positioning of the hands on your stick and body are all things that are important to understand and practice to become the best player you can be. We break things down for players and simplify techniques while building them on each other to help make you the best stick handler you can be.
Passing
Passing is the glue of an effective team in hockey team and player. Infinite Ice prioritizes the development of players’ passing through specialized drills, breaking down the technique and different types of passing, accuracy, strength, briskness, vision, and decision-making. Accurate, brisk smart passes are a hallmark of skilled hockey players and teams. We focus on refining players' passing technique and honing their ability to deliver precise passes.
Integration of Skills
High-tempo flow drills, circuits, races, and games are not only about raw speed and agility. They are also invaluable when it comes to integrating skills, allowing players to apply their skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting abilities in real-game situations. By incorporating these drills into our training program, players develop a sense of timing, learn to make split-second decisions and sharpen their ability to execute under high pressure.
